Moira Run’s in Queen’s Park on 23rd October 2021

Outdoors For You is delighted to support The Moira Fund again this year by taking part in Moira’s Run. Moira Jones was tragically murdered in Queen’s Park, Glasgow, on May 28th, 2008.  In honour of her life, a charity was set up in her name-The Moira Fund. Each year the charity organises a 5km run in Queens Park, which over the years has seen hundreds of runners take part.

This year it will take place on the 23rd October and the Outdoors For You team encourage asylum seekers, refugees and anyone who would like to show their support to come and take part. The entry fee is £10.00, all proceeds go to the charity and participants will receive a medal in the post. If you are unable to afford the entry fee, Outdoors For You is happy to help.

This race is a lovely opportunity for people to come together in memory of Moira and to create awareness of The Moira Fund and the work it does to help those whose lives have been affected by homicide. As well as showing your support for a wonderful charity, it is a great way to keep fit and healthy and engage with one another.
