Outdoors For You was founded in 2018 by people who share the passion for Scotland’s fantastic outdoors – and the belief in nature and active lifestyle’s ability to help humans to heal and to improve mental and physical wellbeing.

We started off as a non-profit organisation, company number SC608815. We were awarded SCIO Charity status SC051780 from the 9th of June 2022.

The name of the organisation and our mission are the same as before. With charitable status we have further opportunities to reach more service users and to expand our service.

The organisation’s purposes are:

To advance community development by encouraging social inclusion among all members of the community especially Black, Asian and minority ethnic and helping them to live better and more fulfilled lives.

To advance health by promoting a healthy lifestyle and offering a range of activities to improve physical and mental wellbeing of the participants.

To provide indoor and outdoor recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the activities are primarily intended.
