Love Local with Outdoors For You

We are now in the third month of the year and still in lockdown. Unfortunately we still cannot get together as a group but we encourage everyone to go outdoors and explore your surroundings. We understand how stressful and frustrating restrictions are, and the impact this is having on our mental health. Now, more than ever, we need to look after ourselves.

A New Park every Sunday of March!

This March, we are encouraging everyone to visit a new park every Sunday. Glasgow is home to over 90 parks, each with their own unique character and environment. So why not spend an hour or two on Sundays going somewhere new and discovering what it has to offer. Share your photos with us and send in something you learnt about the park that you didn’t know before. We can all learn in nature, even those who have lived in Glasgow all their lives will find something new to discover!

Go the extra mile!

Why not go the extra mile whilst walking in the park? We all have a responsibility to look after our environment and be proud about the areas we live in. Unfortunately, some people choose to be unkind to our green spaces and litter areas with rubbish, plastic bottles and food packaging. Join us and take some initiative to pick up some litter and put it in the bin. It is a small act but a small act that makes a huge difference. If we all did this, we can show everyone that we care about our community spaces and value them.

Let’s make March a month where we look after our mental health and our surroundings. It all begins by stepping outside for a few minutes and encouraging others to do the same.
