Come in and join our Multicultural walk to walk the first section of West Highland Way from Milingave to Dumgoyne. This walk is particularly designed to help refugees and asylum seekers to connect to each other and the local community and get the opportunity to discover the beautiful landscape of Scotland.
It is great for people who may feel lonely or do not have the opportunity to talk with others. As participants connect both with nature and each other, they will have a chance to share their stories and experiences, stories. They will have the time to make supportive new friendships and build local connections.
We start the walk from The West Highland Way stone obelisk on pedestrianised Douglas Street and continue through Mugdock Country Park and the beautiful countryside with woodland, farmland and we follow the clear West Highland Way sign post to Dumgoyne. At the end of the run we will meet in the Beech Tree for a social gathering. We will get back to Milngavie train station by bus. We can get We will meet in the city centre of Glasgow and travel together to Milingave by using public or hired transport depending on the group size. The traveling cost will be covered by Outdoors For You.
