It is a great privilege to be part of the Common Ground learning exchange collaboration between Community Health Exchange in Scotland and Community the Community Development and Health Network in Northern Ireland. This week, we visited Belfast along with peers working to reduce health inequalities across Scotland through community projects. We spent two days sharing knowledge and experience and thinking forward to tackling health inequalities in our communities in years to come. We visited two sites, Shankhill Shared Women’s Centre and Women’s TEC in North Belfast to see community development in action, and heard from CDHN about their new Strategy for 2025-2030. I’m looking forward to applying fresh ideas and methods to our work at Outdoors for You and to the rest of the programme sessions in the new year.
